Basic Training Boot Camp by Neuman K-9 Academy, Inc.

Canine basic training camp begins with obedience training. Your dog will learn to sit, lie down, heel (walk at your side without pulling), and come on command. These obedience commands act as a groundwork for the other fundamentals of our program: physical conditioning, morale building, and off-site training.

Our campers have plenty of room to romp and grow. We create an environment that ensures proper etiquette and reinforces inherent strengths. We take our campers on weekly field trips to public and private training environments. They participate in drills that simulate real life situations. Campers learn how to encounter strangers, approach people, follow commands, and they must do so with a variety of conceivable distractions.

What to Expect at Boot Camp:

Obedience Training - Offers functional and crucial commands for daily living.

Field Trips. Provide favorable conditions to practice obedience drills, in an assortment of circumstances. Dogs travel away from Neuman K-9 Academy to train in other public and private training areas.

Physical Conditioning. The doggy daily cardio work out conditions your dog and offers endurance training.

Treadmill Training. Daily treadmill workouts to improve resilience, and fine tune muscles (incline, intervals, power walking).

Behavior Modification. Obstacle courses create a back drop for stability, and dealing with adversity. Dogs learn to work through diverse conditions that build confidence, such as jumping in/out of vehicles, and going up/down stairs.

Morale Building. Obstacle courses create a back drop for stability, and dealing with adversity. Dogs learn to work through diverse conditions that build confidence, such as jumping in/out of vehicles, and going up/down stairs.

Proper Etiquette. Your pet learns to meet and respectfully approach any human companion, without jumping up, and is required to wait at the door, until given a command to enter.

Upon completion of this dog training camp, your canine will receive a certificate of completion in recognition from the Academy, and you will receive a DVD with obedience commands and instructions specific to your dog.

Boot Camp Level I. - 4 Weeks ($1500)
This program includes: Level I. Obedience, physical conditioning, morale building, and field trips.

Boot Camp Level II. - 8 Weeks ($2700)
This program includes: Level II. Obedience, physical conditioning, morale building, field trips, and behavior modification training. Dogs exhibiting behaviors such as aggression toward other dogs or people, separation anxiety, unwanted barking, or jumping up will benefit from this program.

Boot Camp Level III. - 12 Weeks ($3600)
This program includes: Level III. Advanced Obedience, physical conditioning, morale building, field trips, and behavior modification training. Dogs exhibiting behaviors such as separation anxiety, aggression toward other dogs or people, unwanted barking or jumping up will benefit from this program. The extra time is a highly recommended requirement, for canines with socialization issues, and/or aggressive behaviors.

Behavioral Modification Assessment ($300)
While positive behavior modification is included in the twelve-week program, we may charge to do an initial evaluation of any dog that is especially aggressive, and requires special admission into the program. This evaluation is 48 hours, and is done at our Neuman K-9 Academy.

To register: We require that half the tuition be paid as a deposit to hold your place in the course. The remaining balance is due at the time of pick up and/or graduation.
