Pet Dog Boot Camp by Neuman K-9 Academy, Inc.

Boot Camp begins with obedience training. Your dog will learn to sit, down, heel (walk at your side without pulling), and come on command. These obedience commands act as a foundation for the other components of our program: physical conditioning, confidence building, and off-site training.

Our boot campers have plenty of room to run and grow. We create an environment that values proper etiquette and reinforces inherent strengths. We take our campers on weekly field trips to public and private training sites where they participate in drills that simulate real world conditions. Campers learn how to meet and greet people and to follow commands, even with the potential for distraction.

What to expect at Boot Camp:

Obedience Training - Practical and necessary commands for daily living.

Field Trips. Opportunities to practice obedience drills in a variety of circumstances. Dogs travel away from Neuman K-9 Academy to train in other public and private training areas.

Physical Conditioning. Daily cardio and strength training.

Treadmill Training. Daily treadmill workouts to improve stamina and tone muscles (incline, intervals, power walking).

Behavior Modification. Custom-tailored drills designed to modify a canine's aggressive or unwanted behavior (separation anxiety, barking, etc).

Confidence Building. Obstacle courses, environmental stability, and dealing with adversity. Dogs learn to work through various conditions that build confidence.

Proper Etiquette. Meet and greet human companions without jumping up and to wait at the door until given a command to enter.

Upon completion of boot camp, your canine will receive a certificate of completion in recognition from the Academy, and you will receive a DVD with obedience commands and instructions specific to your dog. Graduates of this program are eligible for the Lifetime Training Program.
